Bacteriostatic action against susceptible bacteria.

» Propionibacterium acnes ,
» Actinomyces israelii .
Active against some gram-negative pathogens::
» Haemophilus influenzae ,
» Legionella pneumophila ,
» Yersinia entercolitica ,
» Yersinia pestis ,
» Neisseria gonorrhoeae ,
» Neisseria meningitidis .
Also active against several other pathogens, including::
» Mycoplasma ,
» Treponema pallidum ,
» Chlamydia ,
» Rickettsia ,
» B. burgdorferi .
