corona phlebectatica

A cluster of dilated purple spider veins found around the ankle (usually on the medial side) in people who have chronic venous insufficiency of the leg.

corona radiata

1. The ascending and descending fibers of the internal capsule of the brain that extend in all directions to the cerebral cortex above the corpus callosum. Many of the fibers arise in the thalamus.
2. A thin mass of follicle cells that adhere firmly to the zona pellucida of the human ovum after ovulation.

corona veneris

Syphilitic blotches on the forehead that parallel the hairline.
