APTA Code of Ethics

A code of ethics that sets forth ethical principles for the physical therapy profession. According to its preamble, all physical therapists are responsible for maintaining and promoting ethical and competent practice and establishing a standard of conduct. This code of ethics, adopted by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), sets forth principles that define the roles of physical therapists as clinicians, educators, researchers, consultants, and health care administrators.
