Amsel criteria

( ăm′sĕl krī-tēr′ē-ă)
A cluster of diagnostic clues used to identify the presence of bacterial vaginosis. They include the presence of clue cells on microscopic examination, a homogeneous vaginal discharge, pH < 4.5, and a whiff test after the addition of 10% potassium hydroxide.
