To assist in diagnosing and monitoring various forms of anemia related to ferritin levels such as iron-deficiency anemia, anemia of malnourishment related to substance use disorder (alcohol), hemolytic anemia, chronic anemia of inflammation, and anemia related to long-term kidney dialysis.

Patient Preparation
There are no food, fluid, activity, or medication restrictions unless by medical direction.
