Webinar Summary
In 2026, AI is no longer a future concept—it is a present reality in clinical practice. This webinar features a moderated panel of leadership and faculty from Clark State College discussing their transition from viewing AI with skepticism to embracing it as a vital educational ally.
Strategic Vision and Adoption
Clark State College leadership outlined why they chose to lead in AI adoption rather than resist it. They shared their use of the SAMR Model—a framework designed to help faculty integrate technology in manageable stages, from simple substitution to the total transformation of teaching methods.
Navigating the Transition
The panel explored the practicalities of a college-wide rollout, including:
- The "Expert" Mindset: How faculty maintain control over AI output to ensure clinical accuracy
- Vetted Innovation: The importance of using specialized tools like Nursing Central’s Assist™ AI to provide academic guardrails
- Policy Development: Creating "stuffy but necessary" procedures to address academic integrity and emerging tech like AI glasses
Real-World Outcomes
Discover how the faculty moved past the fear of "critical thinking erosion" to find that AI actually deepens student engagement. By automating time-heavy tasks like case study creation, educators have reclaimed hours each week to focus on high-touch student mentoring and remediating specific knowledge gaps.
This session offers actionable takeaways for nursing programs looking to connect emerging technology with tangible student success.
