Borg dyspnea scale
(borg)
A system used to document the severity of the patient's shortness of breath using numbers anchored with verbal descriptions, e.g., 10 = completely out of breath; 5 = somewhat breathless; 1 = breathing easily. The patient or athlete chooses the number that best corresponds to his or her current perceived respiratory effort.
