evacuation
(ē-văk″ū-ā′shŭn )

1. The act of emptying, e.g., the bowels. In obstetrics, the term refers to emptying the uterus of the products of conception, as in abortion or removal of retained placental fragments.
2. The material discharged from the bowels; stool.
3. Removal of air from a closed container, room, or space.
4. The act of moving people to a safe place, esp. from a disaster or a war-torn area.
