flatfoot
Abnormal flatness of the sole and the arch of the foot. The condition may exist without causing symptoms or interfering with normal function of the foot. The inner longitudinal and anterior transverse metatarsal arches may be depressed. Flat-footedness may be acute, subacute, or chronic.
