1. In pharmacology, the ability of a medication to be absorbed after it is exposed to the acidic environment of the stomach. Also known as acid-dependent solubility.
2. In chemical reactions, any modification in the absorbency of a substance when exposed to higher or lower concentrations of hydrogen ions.
