Bornholm disease

[named for the Danish island Bornholm]
An epidemic disease marked by sudden intense pleuritic or abdominal pain and fever. It is caused by various coxsackie viruses.

TREATMENT
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents and local application of heat may control symptoms.
