The process of obtaining an image for diagnosis using a radiological modality. Radiography includes x-ray studies, computed tomography [CT] scanning, magnetic resonance imaging [MRI], bone scanning, positron emission tomography [PET] scanning, combined CT and PET scanning, ultrasonography, and mammography and digital mammography.
