diplegia
(dī-plē′jē-ă)

[Gr. dis, twice, + plege, a stroke]
1. Paralysis of similar parts on both sides of the body.
2. In cerebral palsy, excessive stiffness usually occurs in all limbs but greater stiffness in the legs than in the arms.
