An enzyme that acts as a catalyst for joining two molecules.

An enzyme that catalyzes the addition of a phosphate group to adenosine diphosphate to produce adenosine triphosphate.
nitric oxide synthase
ABBR: NOS An enzyme that synthesizes nitric oxide from arginine; present in the central nervous system, the lining of blood vessels, the heart, joints, some autonomic neurons, and other organs.
