Bates method
(bāts)
[W.H. Bates, U.S. physician, 1860-1931]
An alternative medical practice for disorders of visual accommodation that includes blinking, covering the eyes with the palms of the hands, moving the eyes rapidly from side to side, exposing them to sunlight, and discarding eyeglasses.
