Bentall procedure

[Hugh Bentall, Brit. cardiac surgeon]
The replacement of the aortic valve, root of the aorta, and the ascending aorta in patients with diseases of both the valve and the proximal aorta. The procedure involves the use of a graft to replace the diseased vessel, and reimplantation of the coronary arteries arising from the proximal aorta into the graft.
