The release of urine from the body.

DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS
Increased frequency is seen in polydipsia; polyuria; diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus; irritation of the bladder, urethra, or urinary meatus; diseases of the spinal cord; enlarged prostate in males; pregnancy in females; beer drinking; interstitial nephritis; use of medications (such as diuretics); and phimosis. Decreased frequency occurs after dehydration, sweating, diarrhea, or bleeding; and in anuria, oliguria, uremia, and anticholinergic drug use.
