[Fr. Fr. -ide, fr. L. -id-, fem. suffix]
Suffix indicating certain secondary skin eruptions that appear some distance from the site of primary infection. If the etiological agent of primary infection is known, the secondary lesion is designated by adding -id, as in tuberculid and trichophytid.
